The story of a photographer

I grew up in Cardiff in a wonderfully artistic family, so seeing the world through a creative lens has always felt natural. From a young age l was surrounded by colour, texture and creativity - and that early immersion shaped the way l notice the little details in life.

l studied Theatre Design at Wimbledon School of Art, focusing on Costume Interpretation. I went on to work in Theatre, Film, Ballet and Opera, which gave me a deep sense of storytelling, composition and atmosphere.

Photography has always been my constant joy. As a teenager, l would explore the empty streets of what was then Tiger Bay, camera in hand, capturing a side of the city that was soon to disappear. Over the years, l’ve photographed everything from family moments and travels to local makers products, and gradually, other people started asking me to photograph them too. After lockdown, l realised it was time to turn this passion into a proper career - and it’s been an exciting journey ever since.

The older l get, the more l love walking and being outdoors - wandering landscapes, market towns, gardens and quiet corners of the countryside. Interiors and architecture also fascinate me, whether it’s gritty industrial cities or a charming Cotswolds village.

l’m married to a Cameraman, have two grown-up children and share my home with a cat and a dog. I’m also a bit of a foodie, with homemade cake as my ultimate weakness.

All of this shapes the way l photograph people, spaces and business: slowly, thoughtfully and always looking for the soul of the moment. Looking ahead, my goal is simple - more adventures with my camera, discovering new places, flavours and stories across Europe.
