Short, considered wedding photography
I’ve always had a soft spot for weddings that do things a little differently. Second weddings, smaller celebrations, a ceremony in Bath followed by lunch somewhere lovely. Occasions where the emphasis is on the day rather than following a particular set of traditions.
I particularly enjoy photographing weddings over two or three hours. There’s still plenty to see and capture from the people and the occasion itself to the unexpected moments that often make the best photographs.
l’m drawn not only to the people, but also the atmosphere around them. The buildings, gardens, city streets, family homes and details that give the day its character.
l’ll step in where needed and disappear when l’m not. I’ll direct when it helps, rearrange something if it makes a better frame and leave things alone when the moment is already there.
The result is a collection of photographs that feel personal, distinctive and full of character.

The weddings l’m most drawn to are usually smaller, more personal and centred on the people who matter most.
They might be second marriages, later in life weddings, registry office ceremonies, garden celebrations or simply couples who have no interest in following the usual wedding formula.
I love the individuality of these occasions, both in the people and in the choices they’ve made about how to celebrate.
My approach is a balance of observation and involvement. I’ll capture the moments that matter, give direction when it makes a stronger photograph and make time for considered portraits of the two of you.
Shorter coverage also means the photographs stay focused. I’m there for the part that matters most to you, so the gallery feels like a strong, concentrated story of the people, place and atmosphere of your wedding.
Once l’ve photographed the ceremony, the people, the atmosphere and all those little moments in between, l’ll leave you to get on with enjoying your wedding.

The Classic Wedding - £450

Some weddings are wonderfully simple. A ceremony, the people you love, somewhere lovely to celebrate afterwards and perhaps a good excuse to dress up.
The classic package is for couples who want to keep things personal, relaxed and entirely their own. Two hours gives us time for the ceremony, photographs of the people who matter and some lovely portraits of the two of you.

Some weddings benefit from a little more time. Three hours allows us to photograph the ceremony, spend time with family and friends and capture more of the celebrations afterwards.
The story is for couples who would like a little more of their day documented, with time for considered portraits, the setting and all those interesting moments that happen when people get together.

Good to know
How many photographs will we receive?
You’ll receive a carefully selected and edited collection of photographs, rather than every image taken on the day. I choose the strongest photographs, paying attention to the people, atmosphere and details that make your wedding individual. The approximate number is included in each package.
Will our photographs be in colour or black and white?
Most of my work is in colour, which is a big part of how l see the world. Occasionally, l’ll choose black and white if l think it works particularly well for an image.
When will we receive our photographs
Your edited photographs will usually be ready within eight weeks of your wedding. I’ll send you a link to a private online gallery where you can view and download your images.
Do you photograph same sex weddings?
Of course. I photograph weddings for couples of all genders and orientations. What interests me is who you are, the people around you and the way you’ve chosen to celebrate.
